Founded in 2023, the Khayelitsha Canoe Club introduces canoeing to the Khayelitsha community and leads efforts to rehabilitate the local wetlands. The club’s primary goal is to develop a competitive canoe polo team while promoting environmental sustainability and creating awareness about water sports.

In addition to teaching the sport, the club runs community cleanup initiatives and educational programs focused on environmental health and water sports.
